Worldwide Group of Companies had its humble beginnings in 1976 as a local hardware store located in downtown Colon Cebu City. The steady growth of the business and exposure to construction materials paved the way for the company to venture into the manufacturing of steel bars in 1987. Through the business acumen and visionary leadership of the founders, Mr. Francisco K. Ong and Mrs. Lina D. Ong, Worldwide Steel Corporation was born.

Currently, Worldwide Steel has expanded to the manufacturing of common wire nails, finishing nails, C-purlins, pre-painted roofings, light metal frames, wire mesh and the distribution of cement, insulation materials, phenolic boards, fiber cement boards, GI wires, and angle bars.

Worldwide Steel Group also ventured into the retail and wholesale supply of local and imported finishing materials through its growing Worldwide Home Depot chain.

The newest addition to the group is its real estate arm, Worldwide Central Properties Inc., where Sundance Residences is the maiden project of the company. Worldwide Central Properties Inc. is continuously expanding in response to the growing demand for cost-efficient and luxurious residences.
